SCI450 ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHEM. CP
– 2 semesters – 1 credit (11, 12)
Prerequisite: "C" or better in Biology 1 and Algebra 1 or teacher permission
The course teaches the relationship between society and energy, and the role of chemistry in the environment. It is primarily designed for the college bound student who does not intend to pursue a career in science. Fundamental work in mathematics is required; as is learning through laboratory activities. Students should be prepared to spend time outside of the classroom reviewing, reading assignments and completing written work.
