Schussler named LaMuth AP

We are pleased to announce that Nick Schussler has been named the Assistant Principal at LaMuth Middle School.

Schussler has been with the District for the past 14 years as the Physical Education and Health teacher at Riverside Campus. In addition he has also served as an assistant coach for the Riverside High School Varsity Football team since 2010. Overall, Schussler has 18 years of experience as an educator and a coach.

Schussler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Kent State University and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Licensure from Youngstown State University.

“I am excited to continue my career at Riverside and step into an administrative role at LaMuth while supporting our students, staff and families,” Schussler said. “I look forward to building on the strong foundation that is already in place  while ensuring student success every day.”

“I am proud to see Nick step into this important leadership role after so many dedicated years at the high school,” said superintendent Dr. Rateno. “Throughout his many years at the Campus, Nick has built so many strong relationships with students, staff and families and I have no doubt that will translate at the middle school level. Nick’s understanding of our District, combined with a passion for student success, makes him very well prepared for this role.”

Schussler is replacing Alison Hardy, who is returning to Riverside Campus next year. Schussler's position was approved by the Board of Education at the May 21, 2026 Board Meeting.
