New Communication App - BrightArrow ParentHub

This year, we are excited to launch BrightArrow ParentHub – which is an app parents can download to receive communication from the District, your child’s school building and your child’s teacher*.

Riverside Parents,

For the last several years, anytime you received an email, text message or phone call from the District or a building principal, they were sending that message through a communication tool we use called BrightArrow. BrightArrow syncs daily with Infinite Campus so we have updated email addresses and phone numbers for parents and students. (Note - if you were not receiving text messages, but would like to, you can opt-in to texts by texting the word YES to 79041).

This year, we are excited to launch BrightArrow ParentHub – which is an app parents can download to receive communication from the District, your child’s school building and your child’s teacher*.

This is an attempt to bring consistency across the District in our communication methods, as well as to eliminate the use of various free apps like Remind, Class Dojo, Homeroom, BAND, etc.

To download/setup the BrightArrow ParentHub app:
iPhone QR CODE:
Google Play QR CODE:
OR
 1) Go to your smartphone’s app store and type in BrightArrow ParentHub
 2) Install the app.

 Once you open the app:
 3) Scroll all the way to the bottom and click Sign up.
 4) Then click on Parent/Student underneath Account Type.
 5) You can then sign up using either your phone number or email address that is listed in Infinite Campus.
 6) You will then create a username and password.
 7) In Settings, you can set your language preference
 8) In Settings, you can subscribe to notifications

You will receive push notifications when a teacher sends a Chat message. A Chat message will allow for two-way communication between the sender and the receiver. Emails, Text Messages and Voicemails from building administrators and the District will also still appear in the app - however receivers can only respond to a Chat message.

Should you choose not to download the app, and a teacher sends a Chat message through the app, you may still receive an email and text message with the Chat message.

Students may also sign-up for ParentHub, and some of our high school teachers do prefer to contact students directly for classroom/assignment/activity updates. If you want to ensure your student is receiving messages from teachers, please make sure their phone numbers are up to date in Infinite Campus. From there, they can download the app using the directions from above.

*Please keep in mind that not all of our teachers in the District will choose to use the ParentHub app, just as not all teachers chose to use an app in the past. Some teachers prefer communication through Infinite Campus and/or Google Classroom, which are still District-Affiliated communication platforms.

We are launching the app at the start of the school year, so we do anticipate there will be some glitches and bugs to work through in the beginning. Please be patient as we work through this new technology.

If you have any questions, or are having any issues with the app, please contact [email protected].
