English 4

English 4 focuses on society. Throughout the year, we read various pieces of literature that examine different elements of society. As seniors in high school, it is important for the students to understand their place in society.
During the year, we read The Crucible, "The Yellow Wallpaper," No Exit, Waiting for Godot, 1984, and various other short stories and poems.
Writing is also emphasized in English 4 through a variety of writing assignments.
The goal of English 4 is for each student to improve his or her writing skills and be able to understand and function in the world around him or her.
