In order to remain eligible for interscholastic athletic activities, students must meet the following criteria:
High School Athletic Eligibility Summary: 9th thru 12th graders MUST be enrolled in and earn passing grades in a minimum of five one-credit courses (or the equivalent) each and every grading period to have continuing eligibility. Students must also have a 1.75 GPA or higher to participate in athletics. Physical education courses do not count as a full credit, so any athlete taking a physical education course needs to have at least six classes in his or her schedule.
Middle School Athletic Eligibility Summary: All 7/8th grade students MUST be enrolled in and earn passing grades in a minimum of 4 courses each and every grading period to have continuing eligibility. Students must also have a 1.75 GPA or higher to participate in athletics. Physical education courses DO count towards eligibility in Middle School.
